Support Harry's Mediterranean Permaculture Study Tour

Thanks for arriving here. This page outlines why I am asking for assistance to undertake a study of Permaculture around the Mediterranean and what that study will consist of.

Why?

I have found myself in Europe and I would like to make the most of the time here by learning as much about Mediterranean climate Permaculture / agriculture / gardening and other polycultures as I am possibly able. Presently, I don’t have the means to get to all of the places / courses that I would like to be able to achieve that end.

Why Mediterranean climate permaculture? — the south west of Western Australia is one of 5 areas in the world with a Mediterranean-type ecosystem (MTE). Of those 5, it has been degraded most rapidly. The Mediterranean basin has examples and remnants of examples of agricultural systems and cultures which were able to derive a relatively much less destructive living from these fragile places. I would like to learn as much as I can to be able to contribute to the development of an ecological agriculture for the south west of Western Australia and other MTEs.

It is my pledge to document and share as much of what I learn as I can on this website and elsewhere for the benefit of all inhabitants of Mediterrananean-type ecosystems
